What’s Oppo opinion on 1/64 scale displays, more specifically for Hotwheels?
I found two options that I really like, but I’m torn between keeping my collection on the original package or taking them out to use the second display option since they look better that way, and the dust shield keeps them tidy anyway.
The first option stores up to 52 cars in the regular shape blister, while the second option can fit 65.
Right now my collection is 65 cars, but some of them are just color variants so I can easily drop it down to 52 .

Awesome idea!
Although, I have a baby incoming and I’m thinking in child-proofing the house, but I’ll save this idea for down the road when he learns not to stuff his face with everything in reach

I have mine displayed on garage wall, unopened and unorganized. If I ever want to sell them, it’ll be easier if they’re unopened. But to each, his/her own.

Ikea . I haven’t put my cars in it yet, but with a few extra shelves you can put a lot of em in here!
And it can accomodate other scales as well!

Don’t worry too much about baby proofing.
My son is a bit over 2 and we never had a problem, he’s been playing with hot wheels since about 6 months too (while supervised of course). But for example, they can’t even move on their own until 6+ months so I always laugh when people go baby proof crazy for when they bring the baby home from the hospital. Also, we still don’t even have baby gates. He’s learned where he can/cannot go and rarely breaks those rules anymore.

I really hope he comes up smart like his mother and not a dumbass like me =)
I used to stuff any crap I found in my ear and nose holes when I was a kid. Even a screwdriver in the power socket because it looked like it would fit. It did... I flew across the room.

I like to open my cars, because they’re more fun that way. But, as $kay said, it is a lot easier to sell them, and they’re worth more in the package. So, do what you like.
Also, don’t get to hung up on making the whole collection fit this one display. Lets be honest here ... the collection is going to grow :)

Yeah I know.
Unconsciously I tend to buy cars I already have, and open those in the office on days where the stress racks up. I have a sort of “emergency kit” in a drawer with hotwheels to open, a couple of transformers, candy bars, caffeine pills, car magazines and such.
The plan is to buy the exhibitor and later this year buy a second one once Mattel releases new stuff that I like and not those fugly angry birds and star wars crap cars.

LOL
Well, a big part of that problem isn’t the open outlet, it’s the screwdriver being left out and accessible.
Nice distance btw, impressive. I hope you stuck the landing.

I actually landed on my sister’s bed, but then bounced to the wall and to the floor, so you could say it wasn’t as graceful as it should.
Funny thing about that screwdriver. It was a gift from my dad. I was always tinkering with my toys as a kid because I watched my dad taking care of fixing everything in the house. He gave it to me so I could “help” him when something needed to be fixed; I always ran and asked if he needed MY SCREWDRIVER, and he would say yes always, even if he was working with the plumbing, he would pretend to unscrew something here and there. And so did I with all my hotwheels, always tightening the rivets on the bottom hahaha.
But after the electric incident I had my screwdriver taken from me for two weeks, and they ran to the store to buy some outlet plugs which they still have to this day.
